ME AND YOU: INTERPRETING AND DEVELOPING THE THEORY OF MARTIN BUBER
Abstract. With practical intentions, the author of the paper unites the communication model «Me-You» elaborated by M. Buber with the psychological egoism theory. Such an operation fulfilled together with the proofs presented in the article, gives an opportunity of solving three interconnected tasks. Firstly, preserving the general buberian scheme, it enables to demonstrate the new type of communication, suitable for the daily life of modern non-religious people. Secondly, such a type of interaction gives an opportunity to avoid the model «Me-It», in which the relations and the partner are becoming the object of exploitation. At last, thirdly, the modern psychology of communication may be enriched by a new approach, which interprets the peculiarities of the partners’ interaction, taking into account each other’s egoism.
Key words: spirituality, communication, religion, robot, egoism.
